About Us
We are a design, sign manufacture and installation business operating nationwide to our clients. The company was established over 33 years ago on the 26th September 1990 operating from a small industrial unit providing signage for local authorities, quarries and other local businesses. Since then, we have expanded and moved into significantly larger premises and became the preferred signage company for customers all over the United Kingdom.
In December 2016 both senior managers Kimberley Bosworth and Jonathan Wood purchased the shares from Managing Director – Steve White. They were bought through a staged management buy-out (MBO) and Steve then retired leaving Kimberley and Jon holding equal ownership 50/50 share capacity. They are still directors of the business today and over the past few years they have invested in new machinery for the factory plus a full set up print facility to increase productivity and offering a wider range of in-house processes for cost efficiency which in turn offers our customers an impeccable service and a saving.
We have the skills, capability and experience to deliver innovative, quality signage that our customers demand. Being based in the midlands in between Derby and Nottingham allows us to be competitive when it comes to cost as we have our own directly employed installation teams who can install ‘being central within the UK’ with minimal travelling costs. As well as being a sign manufacturer that provides an installation service – we also offer the complete solution for any project, beginning with a full consultation so that we can establish exactly what is required then following a site survey we would take our client through the design process and if necessary we can take away the headache of any planning permission processes too.
Heath & Safety
At Sign Systems we take health and safety very seriously so as a company we are SafeContractor approved, this ensures our employees receive the relevant training for their roles and our training matrix is reviewed and updated annually. We also undertake regular site audits as part of this accreditation. With more than adequate cover, our business insurance has an extended option to work at height above the standard of 10 metres.
